What a blinder of a weekend – I would say this has been the best yet! The young folk loved exploring the new overnight venue, the games and activities, the firebowl tea and what struck us most, was how they have bonded. 3 schools, different lives and yet one team. The excelled themselves on the blindfolded bridge walk, where they had to trust their team mates to guide them over the narrow bridge with no sides across a stream! Everyone managed to get over – great job!!!

Day 2 started with hot porridge and then to Symonds Yat, where the Explorers climbed up into a cave and then crawled and SQUEEEEEEEEEeeeeeezed through a tiny gap to come out the far side on a ledge! They teetered along the ledge and descended down a steep face to the bottom. Once again, in spite of nerves, they all made it down. The journey these young people have been on is remarkable and exciting – well done everyone!

All that remains is the celebration on Saturday – a chance to celebrate the highs, the lows and the journey the team have been on. They are an outstanding bunch of young people and we are so proud of them and how far they have come. Great work, guys. It’s a pleasure to work with you!
