When the boys arrived it was zero degrees and the river was shrouded in thick November fog. When they finished, 3 hours later, it was blue skies and sunshine – what a day!!!

They quickly got the hang of turning the boats, and before long we were off down the river leaving Hereford behind and into open country.

It was a really cold day, but the boys got on with the boating, forgot numb toes and put stacks of effort and enthusiasm into the day. They were outstanding, a real credit to the Aconbury, and it’s a pleasure to be working alongside them! To canoe 15km on such a cold day in winter is a real achievement – the thumbs up in the photo says it all! Nice job, boys!
