Another top day with the Aconbury, which began with a yomp up Capler hill under deep blue skies and November sunshine. This time the mission was to learn survival skills.

We covered navigation using the sun, judging distance with paces, and followed up with Kim’s game, to test out the boys’ sniper observation skills!

Here they are in the photo getting the cam cream on, ready for ‘escape and evade’ in the woods. The first time they were quickly caught, but then refined their tactics, came up with a plan and we thought we had lost the group, they were so good!

We finished off with a TLC (Teamwork, Leadership, Communication) activities on our way home, and as always the time went too quickly. Well done boys – an excellent effort and a great day!
